A 30 inch American football in thick frosted glass, lit from the inside by a cold LED core. Not a printed graphic, not a strip light taped to a prop. The light comes from within the shell and spreads evenly through the matt glass, so from across the room it reads as one soft, solid glow rather than a row of bulbs. The laces run along the top in raised white glass, two fine seams follow the curve from tip to tip, and the team you pick is etched into the front panel, cut into the glass rather than printed on it.
It runs up to twenty-four hours on a charge and takes USB-C. The remote gives you every color from its touch wheel, and control over brightness and frequency, and the glass stays cold no matter how long it has been on. Two brackets in the box put it on the wall in about five minutes. During the day it is an object. At night it is the reason the room looks the way it does.
